Authentic Taekwondo Association
I’m 9th Degree or 9th Dan Master of Authentic Taekwondo Keith Finch and this is my Taekwon-Do journey.
I founded the Authentic Taekwondo Association in 2015, however my journey started in 1984 with Ji Do Kwan Taekwondo.
In 1986 I joined the Chang Hon System of Taekwondo and trained with Dinato Nardizzi 9th Dan.
Chang Hon System of Taekwondo is the Authentic Chang Hon system created by General Choi Hong Hi.
I am still a member of Jidokwan Taekwondo with Grandmaster Sung Soo Lee 9th Dan. My current instructor is Pioneer Grandmaster Kong Young IL. We met in 2003 when I achieved 6th Degree with ITF and got to meet him along with Supreme Grandmaster Nam Tae Hi who was an Original Master.
My coloured belts were with Master Ki Ha Rhee and then Mr Donato Nardizzi.
My Black Belt was with grading panel for my 1st, 2nd to up 3rd Dan by UKTF panel under the ITF Taekwondo banner.
My certification approval was done by late father and Founder Gen Choi Hong Hi.
My 3rd Dan 4th Dan, 5th Dan 6th Dan, 7th Dan, 8th Dan were with Jidokwan Taekwondo under Grandmaster Sung Soo Lee 9th Dan 7th Dan and 8th Dan, 9th Dan Traditional Taekwondo by Grandmaster Robert Dunn 9th Dan Jun Tong Taekwondo (ITF) Chang Hon Taekwondo.
For my 9th Dan I was graded by Pioneer Grandmaster Kong Young Il one top pioneers of ITF taekwondo and founder of Young Brothers Taekwondo and original Oh Do Kwan Taekwondo and Chang Do Kwan Taekwondo. Also, by Grandmaster Robert Dunn 9th Dan of the IJTF and ITMS, ITFU.
In 1995 I was European Champion in the Taekwondo Championship in Power Breaking as I always believe in strong techniques. I got injured in quarter finals, ripped hip out socket doing axe kick in sparring.
My favourite achievement was when I was given a medal for technical ability in learning the Jidokwan Taekwondo system and the Jidokwan Brass plaque from Grandmaster Sung Soo Lee 2000.
I am now a member of World Song Moo Kwan Taekwondo Association and Korea Jidokwan TaeKwonDo Federation. I am also UK rep for International Moo Hak Kwan Hapkido Federation and a part of the International Young Brothers Federation 2019.
I am also the Founder of the British Combat Hapkido Association and teach Hapkido and hold a 7th Dan Moo Hak Kwan Hapkido, 5th Dan Hapkido in UMAA with Grandmaster John So, Grandmaster Adrian St Cryien of The World Kido Hae Federation – International Hon Shin Sul Federation.
